Head - Banking & Debt Management with M/s. Essar Steel India Limited, a global producer of steel with a facilities in India, Canada, USA, the Middle East and Asia. Responsibilities include; Dollarization of debt by raising foreign currency loan through EPBG / ECB route. Banking Relationship with 28 banks. Handling banking related matters that include appraisals, CMA and Compliances. Consolidating and monitoring exposure of banking limits, cash flow and payment management of the outstanding.

As Head-Project Finance the responsibilities was to develop and maintain banking relationship, interact with investment bankers, private equity players and scout for alternative means of finance at holding company level. Achieve financial closure of various projects undertaken by each of the business by providing support for credit appraisal process and finalization of terms of facility. At Holdco level worked on fund raising by way of Private Equity, Debt (International and Domestic) and other structured instruments (NCDs, Pref Shares, Mezz Debt) to meet the promoter funding requirements. Other activities include finalization of P&L, BS, Financial Projections and related activities, consolidating and monitoring exposure limits at the group level (consolidated debt size Rs 40000 crs) and explore avenues to reduce the overall cost of borrowings.

As a Country Head - Project Finance the current responsibilities are to develop strategy for expansion of Bank’s project finance business and relationship with key partners in India. Implement marketing strategies in India. Evaluate proposals; perform due diligence (financial, commercial and technical) and recommend the same to regional office. Provide support to Credit Department for credit approvals.
