Mannat Bansal is a dedicated scholar with a passion for advancing health equity and promoting physical activity among underrepresented populations. She earned her BSc (Hons) in Exercise and Health Physiology from the University of Calgary in 2020, followed by an MSc in Health, Exercise, and Sport Psychology from the same institution in 2022 under the supervision of Dr. Nicole Culos-Reed. During her master's studies, Mannat conducted a qualitative study exploring the barriers, facilitators, and experiences with exercise among individuals of South Asian heritage living with and beyond cancer. Driven by her commitment to addressing health disparities, Mannat is currently pursuing her PhD, where she continues to build upon her previous work. Her doctoral research revolves around the development and implementation of exercise oncology resources specifically tailored for Punjabi-speaking individuals of South Asian heritage. Mannat aims to bridge exercise oncology gaps and foster culturally relevant health promotion strategies. Mannat's research interests include implementation science, culturally tailored community-based programming, knowledge translation, health behavior change, health promotion, and mixed-methods research. Through her interdisciplinary approach, she strives to translate evidence-based findings into actionable initiatives that promote holistic well-being and empower individuals of South Asian heritage to lead healthier lives.
