To streamline continuous integration and development at KORE, a new team was formed to automate the deployment pipeline and increase software delivery. The role focused on automating manual testing and building it into the CI/CD pipeline to fail early and fast. My role was to architect, design, and implement the many components of this system. Key Achievements:- Automated the entire, over 1K, manual tests- Integrated the automatic testing with headless tools using Selenium into KORE's CI/CD process- Automated the job of manual testers so they could focus on writing the test scenarios- Managed a remote team of three engineers- Brought testing from days and weeks down to under an hour which required no human intervention unless there were errors- Regression tests were automatically run on every push to production branches

I was tasked with improving KORE's unscalable and outdated deployments, which took weeks. I was under constraints to minimize disruption to existing project timelines and minimize new feature work.I reverse-engineered the entire platform and completely automated the organization's flagship products. In addition, to reduce deployment time further, I created automation scripts to minimize developer involvement, which was baked into the build process.The result was that deployments went from weeks to less than an hour, which can be applied to multiple production environments. This work evolved into a larger dev ops team embracing modern CI/CD principles and practices.

As a KORE Engineer, I helped our customers by creating new M2M platform features and integrating our platform with Tier-1 MNO partners and providers of M2M coverage. A Winnipeg-based technology start-up leveraging the Internet of Things (IoT) to automate HVAC in commercial and industrial buildings. As Co-Founder, I developed the go-to-market business and product strategy. As CTO I built the platform and technology from the ground up working with third-party vendors. The team included mechanical and electrical engineers besides software engineers. ioAirFlow’s IP was eventually sold to another building automation SaaS company.Key Achievements:- Secured $50K+ in grants and funding loans through targeted research, proposal writing, and strategic networking.- Did discovery and interviewed large HVAC companies, like Emerson and Honeywell - Pitched the idea, business, and prototype to strategic partners, and angel investors in Canada, USA, and Germany- Developed a fully automated HVAC damper system prototype using WiFi and LPWA Technologies with OTA updates to simplify troubleshooting in the field, managed by a simple-to-use cloud-hosted web portal.- Successfully did a trial run of the entire system with a single damper prototype in a high rise in Winnipeg traversing 10+ floors without any need to tap into corporate networks

With the cost of medical care rising, Arxium provided the world with an innovative solution to automate pharmacy operations through robotics. Arxium helps adults, children, chemotherapy patients, and more. We helped reduce errors, provide fine-tuned calculated drug dosages, and quick response times to drug shortages to give hospitals the edge against any and all new medical needs. My role at Arxium started with working on automated robotic recoveries due to failures and ended with automating an entire pharmacy operation.Key Achievements:- Automated the job of 5 developers for the labelling subsystem, leading to the complete automation of an entire pharmacy operation for customers and Arxium.- Reduced custom label request processing time from over three months to a few hours using in-house software.- Integrated 3rd party tools to help pharmacists and engineers design consumable labels in real time.
