    I feel deeply honored to receive 4 years of Research Assistantship from the Federal Government of the United States.โ—ผ I discovered an innovative wearable wireless optical brain imaging device, WearLight, under the project funded by the NSF (~$6 million). I built the entire system including the embedded system, analog, and digital circuits, sensors, and firmware.โ—ผ I also developed a software that can wirelessly control the system and collect, analyze, and display data in real time. I performed intensive system testing, validation, performance analysis, and human subject pre-clinical studies.โ—ผThe results showed that our system can monitor the brain activity of a freely moving human, which is not possible using the traditional fMRI method. Our system is also compatible with EEG for multimodal brain imaging and it reduces the overall cost of imaging.

    I was a recipient of 4 years Research Fellowship Award from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India.โ—ผI invented a fast and cost-effective medical imaging system for the early detection of breast cancer (3D diffuse optical tomography).โ—ผThe new generation system I developed was based on Optics, Analog and digital circuits, Embedded systems, IoT, and Electro-mechanics that resulted in high-speed imaging.โ—ผI proposed an Algorithm that can perform real-time 3D DOT medical image reconstruction to visualize the images as the patient is undergoing a scan. (usually, it takes a few hours)
