The application of this project was to derive algorithms, that can be used in satellites to monitor forest vegetation or put the camera under a vehicle on road and use the camera as a scanning device to identify faults like fissures, etc. on the surface of roads, which can then be rectified for better transportation and logistics.

The actual data is usually complex and often chaotic.At every moment, there are some stochastic changes modifying the state of the system.The goal is to manage an ever changing system through system expert rules by means ofstudying the imperfect (i.e.: incomplete, uncertain and imprecise) data.

In telephone exchanges, there are information about the sites and certain number of parameters like DC-voltage, DC-current, AC-voltage, AC-current, Alarm-SET, etc., of which values should be monitored from a distant office. In the remote site we can select one of the inputs through the multiplexed line by switching ON one of the relay coil, and then the analog value is fed into the AD converter to process it in the computer. This value is then displayed on an LCD display in the remote site and is also uploaded to the distance office from the remote site through internet thereby monitoring the parameters of the telephone exchange.
