• Conducted pareto analysis to find the major types of defects in the manufacturing of spark plug insulator. Determined the root cause of the defects using fishbone/Ishikawa diagram & 5 Why analysis.• Developed & implemented corrective & preventive actions (CAPA) to address the root cause.• Redesigned the unloading arm and with the help of design of experiments (DOE) optimized the binder preparation process to reduce the overall defects from 4% to 1%.
