• Introduced “Quality day”, during which we focused on improvements as a department by discussing the current issues & finding the solution as a group. • With the support of IT team, developed “SQE dashboard” which had Quicklinks to all the systems & processes used by SQEs. This eliminated non-value added time & improved efficiency of SQEs.• Worked on “PPAP alignment with MPT” which eliminated unnecessary delays in PPAP approvals due to unavailable Material & Process Technology personnel & resources. • Worked on a special project - “Supplier Quality Back to the Basics” to create a module which outlined all of the functions that Supplier Quality Engineers endure and execute.• Created 26 one page work instructions for all the systems, processes & procedures used by SQEs (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control plan, SPC, MSA, GD&T, Cleanliness requirements, etc.)• Using statistical analysis demonstrated a new way to look at Quality complaints, which can be used to plan Audits, Supplier visits & take appropriate actions to reduce quality complaints. • Took part in “Product familiarization class” for all the product lines (Engines, Axles & Transmissions) & learned about functions of all the subsystems, disassembled & assembled the whole product.
