• I am tasked with managing and monitoring the tasks of the product development team, as well as the processes of engineering design and manufacture to ensure smooth and timely introduction of products.
• I oversee and coordinate manufacturing activities, prototype testing, trials and participated in design reviews.
• I am required to ensure that products complied with company quality standards and customer requirements.
• I hold responsibility for engaging in continuous improvement activities, including initiating studies on existing products in investigating avenues of improvement.
• I liaise with a myriad of departments, including Sales, QA, Purchasing and Production on a regular basis.
• I am responsible for conducting audits on AS9100 Rev.D, ISO 14001-2015, and ISO 9001-2015.

Sri Lanka

• I was responsible for providing assistance and support to understand the technical aspects of new products, as well as supporting the production teams with achieving required standards.
• My job tasks included reviewing drawings, samples, engineering notes and liaison with design engineers.
• I was also required to liaise with other departments such as Sales, QA, Enginering, Purchasing and Production in the performance of daily functions.
• A part of my job was the responsibility to meet departmental KPIs, including minimising waste, reject rates and working to set budget and deadlines.

• Commenced my career at AmSafe Bridport in this role.
• Responsible for product transfers, conducting pre-production meetings on new products.
• I conducted testing of fabrics, webbings, and metal fittings, including salt spray testing for metal fittings in accordance with ASTM B117, ISO 9227 and RTCA DO-160G.
• Prepared jigs and templates as production aids to support manufacturing activities.
• Conducted work studies, method studies and line balancing.
• I was responsible to create specifications, 2D drawings and test reports, and conduct testing on Testometric 100KN, 200KN and conditioning chamber.

Sri Lanka

• I commenced my professional career here. I learned and introduced new manufacturing techniques for jeans and jackets, was acquainted with dying, finishing, and packaging methodologies, and analyzed the technical.
• I also learned the techniques of Work Study, Method Study and Line Balancing.
