Teaching Quality in Healthcare, Public Health and Health Informatics

1. Coordinating and promoting quality related activities and advocacy across the district.2. To assist the District Quality Assurance Committee in discharging duties for Quality improvement.3. To assist, support and conduct Assessment and scoring of Public Health facilities in thedistrict.4. Grading of healthcare facilities on the basis of score in the district.5. Ensuring that DQAC meets regularly and follow-up actions have been taken.6. Selecting facilities that may go for Certification and supporting them in the process.7. Estimating district’s requirements (in terms of Structure, Process and outputs) for improvingquality of healthcare services.8. Review the status of QA activities at different facilities in the district.9. To provide support to facilities in the district in taking appropriate and time-bound actions onclosure of the gaps, identified during assessments.10. Conducting workshops and training at district and facility level on QA and Certification ofhealthcare facilities.11. To provide technical assistance to health facilities in achieving compliance to statutoryrequirements such as Atomic Energy Act & AERB Guidelines, Blood bank, PC PNDT act, BMWRules, etc. in the district.12. To review the Patient’s and employee’s satisfaction from different facilities, subsequentlydevelop an action plan to address the concerns of patients, which led to poor satisfaction.13. Advise on the further development of QA and Certification across health facilities in thedistrict.

- Leading the team and deciding on allocation of audit activities- Communicating with the auditee to confirm audit plans- Monitoring the performance of auditors within the team- Checking for adequacy of the checklists and other documented preparations of the audit team members- Authorizing the final report before being provided to the auditee- Managing any conflicts between auditors and auditees- Leading team meetings to discuss progress at regular intervals and throughout the audit- Decision making upon any non-conformances or follow-up action required based on collated findings- Conducting the Opening and closing meetings- Collating the findings of each auditor involved in the audit.

Teaching the subjects Hospital Planning & Organisation and Patient Care Services to the students of MBA in Healthcare and Hospital Management of Koneru Lakshmaiah University in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.

Key Duties :- Develops and administers the quality education process formulating quality improvement programmes for employees.- Prepares Internal Audit Schedules, assisting with Internal Audits and Audit results.- Recommends quality tools and techniques to be used in measuring the company’s quality performance and variations; and solving quality problems.- Recommends procedures and guidelines to direct the practices used in performing corrective action.- Reviews Non-conformances, Corrective Actions, Observations, and Patient Complaints for repetitive trends, recommendations for changes and/or processes.- Maintains the supplier audit program, coordinating with the purchasing function.- Develops, writes, and implements Quality System Procedures, Company Standing Instruction and Company Work Instructions.- Actively supports and participates in Quality Management System training programs and other quality-related training.- Actively supports, participates and maintains the integrity and on-going function of the company and facilities safety programme.- Supports and participates in the companies’ affirmative action/equal employment opportunity efforts.
