FGD & FGC System for 2X660MW Power Plant

Worked in AES Corporation's Joint venture project with OPGC. The 2.1Billion USD project includes 2X660MW Supercritical Power Plant, Electrical Interconnection Networks, 47 KM Railway Network to Coal Mines with 105 bridges & 05 stations, 47 Km of Cross Country Pipeline, Ash Projects (Ash Pond, Ash Disposal Piping of 15 Km with 10 bridges, Ash Water Recycling System) and Township Facilities. Headed Project Control and established PMO. Worked on the entire lifecycle of the projects till closeout. Developed Project Execution Plans, Procedures, Processes and Tools in alignment with PMBOK knowledge areas & AES Recommended Framework for Project Execution. Managed the Project Control efforts in Planning, Scheduling, Cost Control & Budgeting, Risk Management, Document Control, Monitoring. Responsible for Schedule and Cost Risk analysis for Contingency Management. Reporting & Presentation for Global Executive Leadership of AES, Strategic Business Units, OPGC Board and all other Stakeholders. Developed Contract Claim Management System. Involved in evaluation of TIme Impact Analysis as well as Forensic Schedule Analysis and Contract Closeout.

Program Management of 1.8Billion USD Greenfield Aluminium Smelter Complex of Hindalco Industries. The project includes 0.36Million Capacity Smelter with 360 Pots and 6X150MW Captive Power Plant. Headed the Project Planning & Control function. Developed Master Schedule for Power Plant with Start Up and Ramp Up Plan for 360 Pots of Aluminium Smelter. Established Project Management Tools i.e. Primavera P6 EPPM, Primavera Contract Manager and Primavera Risk Analysis. Responsible for Project Progress Monitoring, Updating and Controlling. Managed executive management reporting. Coordination of interfaces of multiple contractors and turnover of packages. Developed and executed plans for turnover to commissioning and to subsequent operation with manpower deployment strategies for Commercial Operation.

Managed the process to identify, prioritize, approve, execute and closeout Capex projects. Established a 10 year Master Outage Schedule. Managed outages i.e. Planned Outage, Maintenance Outage and Unplanned Outage.Responsible for planning and execution of both minor and major turnarounds. Implemented AES Best Practices of Outage Management. Supported the pre-outage scope development, manpower planning, logistic planning, cost estimation, tendering and contractor selection for early procurement of services and materials.
