• Overall responsible for EXIM/ Logistics & SCM activities • Coordinate with CHA for timely clearance and transportation• Interact with shipping agencies & Freight forwarders for selection of vessels and rate negotiations• Handling all documentation processes export/ Import, Contracts, Agreements• Keeping the track of container and container bond and follow-up with CHA for its timely cancellation• Co-ordination with warehouse for EXIM ctr arrival, offloading/loading, ctr damage issue etc. • Covering insurance of all EXIM shipments and keeping records of it. • Also accountable for – Container booking, vessel schedule, container stuffing on time, loading / unloading the containers, coordination with the transporters, overseas payment and foreign remittance, to get the documentation done before the vessel arrival, ensure the container sealing and offload the same to port for vessel loading.

Responsibilities:• Co-ordination with the production house at regular intervals for replenishment and follow-ups, Shipment planning as well as updating customers on regular intervals.• Calculating the landing cost to place the order and also calculate after the goods received in to the warehouse and suggests the selling price to sales team. • Responsible for Logistics Cost (International/Domestic) from POL to Warehouse to end users.• Plan and implement all import and export transportation strategies according to all supplier and customer demand and administer internal movement of all goods and ensure compliance to all government regulations.• Partner with suppliers and inventory planners and ensure accurate movement of all international goods and ensure arrival of goods within required time frame and obtain best freight rates at all times.• Oversee efficient working of employees of import department and manage all communication with customers and vendors.• Dealing with Customs & Port authority regarding the settlement on clearing process.• Follow-ups with clearing agent to clear the goods in time.• Negotiate with clearing agents, transporters & shipping lines relating to price quotations.• Worked with the team on the Buy and Sales Plan. • Preparation of MIS report and updating the same on day to day.• Ensure that documentation is done relating to import and export of any materials and goods.• Responsible to recheck the documentation of each and every activities relating to import and export.• Manage the inventories record.• Monitored accuracy and timely processing of payment transactions.• Monitoring and training to the new recruitersKey Achievements:• Brought down the clearing & logistics cost by 30% in first 2 month.• Achieved Freight savings up to 7% in first 6months.• Enhance the vendor networks and maintaining good relationship with transporters for upcountry logistics.• Brought down the clearing time from average 15days to average 7 days.
