I am a computational physicist with over 7 years of research experience, including 2+ years in the industry. My research interests include atomistic and first-principles materials modeling, materials for quantum information processing and energy transport, phononics, photonics, wave propagation with surface and bulk acoustic waves, and metamaterials. My computational modeling experience ranges from density functional theory (DFT) and molecular dynamics (MD) computations at the atomistic scale to finite element (FEA) and finite difference (FDA) approaches at the continuum scale. I am always on the lookout for new learning opportunities and have been a part of multiple side projects alongside my Ph.D. research.I look forward to contributing to the exciting physics-informed, data-driven future brought about by the second quantum revolution and artificial intelligence.
Listed skills include Matlab, C, Microsoft Office, Ansys, and 20 others.

Polymer informatics: Atomistic simulations and machine learning studies for switchable thermal transport in polymers.
Boulder, Colorado, Us
I leverage phonon engineering to modulate phononic and electronic properties in semiconducting systems for thermoelectric and quantum information applications. • Engineering phononic systems for quantum applications: My research focuses on tuning spin-phonon and magnon-phonon interactions in solid-state spin qubits and magnetoelastic crystals, respectively, for quantum information processing applications. To this end, I employ phononic crystals, surface acoustic, and high-overtone bulk acoustic wave resonators, and recruit various concepts from photonics and optomechanics.• Engineering nanophononic systems for energy transport applications: As a part of this research, I carried out detailed studies on quantum tunneling through semiconductors, including direct band-gap and indirect band-gap cases with possible inter-valley tunneling. Performed molecular dynamics (MD) simulations on LAMMPS to study the phonon transport through Si/Ge superlattices to evaluate effective thermal conductivity and interface resistance. Employed density functional theory (DFT), density functional perturbation theory (DFPT), electron-phonon Wannier (EPW) techniques for electronic bands, electron-phonon, and electron-impurity scattering calculations in strained Si/Ge superlattices.• Mentored 3 undergraduate researchers from the discovery learning apprenticeship program.

As a research assistant for Summer 2022, My research involves performing heat transfer analysis, particularly thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity analysis of porous thermal coatings using COMSOL Multiphysics.

• My work mainly focused on deriving and simulating mathematical formulations for shape memory alloy non-linear phase transformation using Mathematica and Matlab. • Alongside my shape-memory alloy work, I was also a part of the stability analysis team of the lightweight locomotive project and contributed to buff load and self-weight load analysis on a composite locomotive in ANSYS.• I was awarded the GE Bronze award by Dr. Vidyashankar Buravalla for 'Expertise and Clear Thinking' during my internship.
