Computational design engineer with a skill set that spans material science, computational design and digital manufacturing. My career in Additive Manufacturing (AM) started with a PhD in 3D printed synthetic bone substitutes. I have since worked as a Research Engineer developing and optimising AM processes with an emphasis on powder bed fusion and jetting. Throughout this journey, design has always been at the core of my engineering practice; I have been involved in projects that range from conceptual footwear and medical devices to scientific instrumentation. Combining computational design with 3D printing fuels my interest in bio-inspired design. My algorithmic designs are featured in the Magnetoencephalography (MEG) helmet (MEG lab, University of Nottingham) and the conceptual footwear of OurOwnsKIN and Liz Ciokajlo/Maurizio Montalti (Growing a Mars Boot - Museum of Modern Art, New York / 2017). In 2021 I co-founded Metamorphic to help organisations innovate and accelerate their next breakthrough with Design for Additive Manufacturing.
