Traductrice de langue maternelle française, je me spécialise dans les domaines de la communication, du marketing et des jeux vidéo.Formée à la traduction technique, mon cœur bat pourtant pour les textes nécessitant une plume moins rigide et plus créative. Et c’est bien tout ce qui me passionne dans l’exercice de la traduction ! La recherche du mot juste, la réflexion, la reformulation (encore et encore) jusqu’à trouver la traduction qui laissera transparaître au mieux les intentions portées par les mots originaux.Si je prends beaucoup de plaisir à traduire et jouer avec les mots, j’en prends tout autant à nourrir cette créativité pendant mon temps libre. Parmi mes activités favorites, les arts du fil et le crochet avec le monde coloré des amigurumis inspirés de la culture pop ! Côté jeux vidéo, j’apprécie surtout les RPG et les jeux de plateforme ; après quelques années à apprécier des jeux plutôt orientés détente (que certaines mauvaises langues qualifieront de « casu »), je me suis découvert un intérêt agréablement frustrant pour les rogue-like avec le douloureux The Binding of Isaac. Depuis, je suis devenue accro au genre, à la licence Monster Hunter et à Final Fantasy XIV (pensée émue à la jeune joueuse que j’étais qui est passée de la manette de SNES à celle de la PS4 sans transition [c’est dur la 3D quand on a pas l’habitude !] et a découvert l’univers des MMO à près de 30 ans).Et la localisation dans tout ça ?Il y a quelques années, j’ai été très agréablement surprise par un petit jeu mobile. Le gameplay est simplissime, les graphismes sont naïfs, la musique discrète… Tout l’intérêt du jeu repose sur l’histoire de ses personnages, que l’on découvre au travers de courtes séquences teintées d’émotions et de nostalgie, déverrouillées à mesure que l’on remplit les objectifs. Ce genre de jeu représente pour moi un exemple très parlant de l’importance de la localisation des jeux vidéo.
