I am a Professor of Medicine and clinical staff at the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand.I received my medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University in Thailand, residency training in Internal Medicine from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and Fellowship in Clinical Genetics and Molecular Genetics from the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI), National Institutes of Health (NIH), USA. During my fellowship, I also conducted my research in hereditary renal cancer syndrome with the National Cancer Institute (NCI), NIH.I work as an internist, clinical/molecular geneticist and research investigator at the Medical Genetics Division, Department of Medicine, the Siriraj Center of Research Excellence (SiCORE) in Precision Medicine and Siriraj Genomics at the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. My research interest includes clinical and molecular aspects of Mendelian disorders and hereditary cancers, genetic aspects of various common diseases and conditions unique among Thai population. My current research projects are cancer precision medicine, sudden unexpected death syndrome, and adult onset immunodeficiency associated with anti-interferon-gamma antibody. I am also overseeing clinical genomic lab for cancer. Siriraj Genomics is Thailand’s largest clinical genomic lab providing more than 7,000 clinical genomic tests and more than 2,000 cancer NGS panel tests per year.I am also the leader of health cluster in the Research University Network (RUN: www.runthailand.org), the consortium of Thailand's 8 leading universities, focusing on large collaborative research projects. The RUN health cluster is currently conducting research on Cancer Precision Medicine in Thailand. I have been working as the leader of research and development working group in the inter-ministerial 'Genomics Thailand' project. This national initiative aims to accelerate research and implementation of genomic medicine in Thailand.
