• Manager - Purchase & Supply Chain• Commodity- AS (Alloy Steel) , FO (Forging) , Hardware , Rubber & Pipes.Key Result AreasDevelopment & Procurement• Planning and controlling all requisite activities to perform such as techno-commercial evaluation, technical feasibility study, economic feasibility study, negotiation, technical spec. meeting, vendor selection, ordering, expediting & tracking the consignment, reporting, payment processing, etc.• Cost Saving Initiatives: VAVE activities , commonisation of parts , Source change of many components & raw materials for the purpose of cost saving.• Assessing the performance of the vendors based on various parameters such as QCDDA (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Development and Attitude) targets for improvement in next Financial Year for cost reduction ideas & credit terms.• Working with vendors for quotations and costing of AS/FO , Hydraulic couplings , Proprietary parts (Stickers , Bearings , Silencers , oil seals , piston ring , PTFE parts etc.) , Rubber components (Bonded seals, Floor Mats, Flaps, Grommet, Steering mounting cover, Hose etc.), Fasteners (Nut, Bolt, screw, Banjo bolt, Washer, Circlip, Nord Lock washer, Spring, Shim, Hydraulic couplings, Gasket etc.), Small Forging & Machining components (Pin, Spacer, Bush, Sleeve, Adopter, Drain Plug, Breather etc.)• Commercial and Technical Feasibility Study: New product, Development Plan, Activities & Layout Review, RFQ & enquiry letter as per vendor rating, segregating quotations, specification meeting.• Price Negotiation, finalizing quotations, comparison with similar part from other vendors & existing costing standards. • New source / vendors for alternate sourcing for the purpose of cost saving, vendor performance improvement, New Products (technically tough), Customer Requirement.
