Steered the evaluation of key nutrition interventions under the Integrated Child Development Services program in eight states of India to identify gaps, challenges, bottlenecks and good practices in implementation of priority areas including take-home-ration and supplementary nutrition, which were assessed against GoI’s mandate of providing energy-dense and/or micronutrient-fortified food to the target groups.

Provided technical support to select state governments in India to strengthen their program policy and implementation of key micronutrients interventions through strengthened health systems. Led implementation of a demonstration project assessing the impact of weekly iron folic acid supplementation on the prevalence of anemia in adolescent girls in the state of Chhattisgarh. Also facilitated scale-up of the program across the state under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary and presented case study in the plenary session during the Micronutrient Forum 2014 held in June 2014 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
