Drove cross-organizational alignment on top investments to achieve the vision. - Led strategic technical direction, execution and landing for Data Processing in the Digital Markets Act, critical EU regulation that required timely compliance.

Conceptualized, designed, implemented and landed a generic stream data processing system. Infrastructure runs as a service and provides SLOs for latency and completeness.* Scope: Responsible for the infrastructure that generates metrics and empowers mission-critical Ads pipelines, reporting billions of dollars per year to external advertisers and publishers. These metrics empower Google’s internal systems improving the quality of Ads, attributing conversion credit, and measuring Google Analytics, etc.* Impact: Reduced end-to-end latency for Ads processing by 50% with 10x better stability, while being cost neutral. Built techniques such as operator push-down, sort preserving operators, and more for stream processing.* Impact: Drove an effort to evolve from an AdWords-specific infrastructure to a Google-wide data processing platform. The system now underpins major Google businesses, including Ads, Search, Assistant, Play, and more. - The infra enables products to unlock new business capabilities. Systems can now scale significantly, while saving costs and achieving tighter SLOs. - Re-architected the system to run as a service, with isolation between user’s business logic and the underlying infrastructure. When an end-to-end SLO violation occurs, the system can automatically identify whether the root cause is the user's business logic or the infrastructure, and page the appropriate on-call lead. - Scaled the infrastructure from O(100) to O(10K) pipelines.Built a unified interface and user experience for both streaming and batch workloads. - The system can perform operations such as joining multiple streams of events, joining events with a transactional database, pre-aggregating metrics before injecting them into an analytical storage. It provides multiple APIs to users, including C++, SQL, Flume, and more.* Recognition: Received a prestigious internal Google Tech Impact Award, and 3 org-level Tech Impact Awards over the past three years.

* Scope: Multi-homed the Ads streaming data processing infrastructure. * Impact: This achieved high reliability and resistance to both machine and data center outages, while maintaining latency SLOs and data correctness. These systems produce output data that is replicated across data centers and is globally consistent with exactly-once semantics, avoiding inconsistencies that may arise when duplicate streams are generated.

I practice mindfulness daily.I created daily drawings on how to apply Mindfulness teachings in daily life. I shared these with 600+ Googlers who love seeing these as a source of daily inspiration.For the better well-being of Googlers, I created content on acceptance, forgiveness and setting healthy boundaries. Led 50+ live classes, including sessions during Resilience Week. These classes had 500+ attendees with 90%+ indicating they found the experience worth their time.
