• To co-ordinate, supervise and control the work of preservation and storage staff posted in the branches/district.• To execute the sampling for grain crops such as (wheat, paddy, rice, etc.) at purchase centres, and in warehouses.• To supervise the arrangements for the preparation of warehouses for storage of food-grains (like Wheat, Paddy, Rice and oilseeds) and also lay down storage plans.• Arranging and stocking all the inputs like agrochemicals, jute gunny bags/bales, fumigation covers, polythene sheets, fumigants etc. at all the branch offices under his supervision timely.• To supervise the work of branch managers for inspection of jute gunny bags/bales and other storage articles such as wooden crates, polythene covers etc.• To supervise the purchase/procurement of food-grains in the purchase centres of MARKFED falling within his jurisdiction as per specifications laid by the government.• To maintain the health and quality of food-grain stocks stored in warehouses and make visits to every storage point under his charge at least once in a month to have a proper check on the health of the stocks.• To keep a close liaison with Food Corporation of India (FCI) staff and supervise the joint sampling, analysis and movement of food-grains along with the concerned branch manager.• To supervise the fumigation of food-grains stored in various warehouses under his charge.• To maintain the insect/pest free environment in warehouses and also recommend upgradation of infested food-grains.• To check for the entries in the fumigant register and stack cards and put his signatures with his observations.• To check and ensure that the correct dosages of fumigants and chemicals has been used for imparting periodical treatment of the stocks.• To examine daily treatment reports and recommend payment of bills/expenditures on the basis of these reports.• To execute, supervise and control Soil testing work wherever the Markfed Soil & Water Testing Laboratories are existing.

- Supervised operations of procurement of foodgrains such as wheat, paddy, sunflowers, potato from the local grain markets on the behalf of Food Corporation of India (FCI). - Storage of foodgrains in the warehouse and their quality maintenance.- Supervised timely fumigation, sprays and other preservation practices of the stored food-grains.- Educated farmers on the beneficial crop practices through various seminars and organizing camps at the village level.- Marketing of various edible, non-edible, fertilizers and agrichemicals of MARKFED SOHNA products.
