Angai is a women-owned social enterprise, located in the remote village of Arsilingi, Odisha, that utilizes local resources to produce handmade soaps. It celebrates the coming together of 33 women from the Lanjia Saura tribe, with the purpose of carving an independent and sustainable livelihood for themselves, to learn and grow.In 2015, we received seed.

Founded in 2012 at the Graduate Institute Geneva, Just Innovate is a non-profit educational initiative whose mission is to inspire and facilitate the creation of social innovations within student communities. It has been running the Collaborate for Social Impact (C4SI) programme yearly since 2014.

Collaborate for Social Impact (C4SI) is a 10-week program which engages students from a variety of disciplinary backgrounds with challenges provided by leading international and development organizations based in Geneva (including IOM, ITC, P&G, ITRC and others). The C4SI curriculum and mentorship equips students with the soft and the hard skills they need.

Burkina Faso

Uundertaken for the French NGO Groupe de Réalisations et d’Accompagnement pour le Développement, this research documented small-scale farmer adaptation to climate change in Burkina Faso. Involved 3 months of fieldwork followed by preparation of a report for internal use by the NGO.

Geneva Area, Switzerland

Consulted for ZimHealth organisation in coming up with an innovative and sustainable financial model to meet the long term needs of the health sector in Zimbabwe. (Part of a 5 member team)

Odisha, India

SBI Youth for India is an Indian rural fellowship programme. It pairs selected fellows with experienced NGOs across the country, to together work on challenging grass-root development projects. I worked with Gram Vikas NGO in Odisha. Key achievements:(1) Mobilized 33 women from the Lanjia Saura tribe to register as a collective(2) Trained the women in.

Worked on adapting pre-existing Nigerian (Lagos) entrepreneurship model for the Indian context (New Delhi pilot).Created proprietary curriculum content for the training phase for Generation Enterprise’s youth business lab model.
