Mansoor Ma is a Landscape Architect and Associate Principal of LANDinc. Throughout his professional practice, he has been dedicated in applying cutting-edge computer technologies for analyzing, understanding, exploring, interactively designing and interpreting landscape design space. He is the primary visionary involved in developing LANDinc’s Immersive Media Portal - an interactive virtual and augmented reality platform for design assessment and presentation.Given Mansoor’s business acumen, advanced design communication skills, and design and visualization abilities, he has acted in key team member roles on many national and international projects. These projects have involved park master planning; community planning and design; education campus and school master planning; waterfront parks; resort club facilities; golf course community planning; and high-end residential design.Mansoor is also an independent scholar and academic speaker at conferences and universities addressing the integrated use of technologies as design tools and for design communication/interpretation --- hand sketches, digital imaging, 3d modeling, animation, augmented and virtual reality, interactive tours, realtime visual simulation, photogrammetry, 3d site scanning and documentation, as well as landscape BIM. He has delivered research papers and conference presentations in Canada, the United States of America, Germany, New Zealand, Dubai, Spain, and Cyprus regarding the use of technologies as design communication tools for design professionals in the 21st century. As a leader of cutting-edge technology in the field of landscape architecture, Mansoor is called upon across Canada and internationally to give lectures and visualization workshops. Mansoor is a passionate educator and has contributed to the development of the advanced design communication skills of more than 500 university design students and professionals.
