My job as a business developer was to internally promote the benefits of the product staffing and building up a brand new business. I developed marketing plans, drove sales and led the staff. We increased sales by 50% the first year. Another challenge was to bring together two different corporate cultures into one. I had direct line responsibility for five full-time employees and was ultimately responsible for the temporary staff. Today's business development is about adapting Academic Search for future expectations. The challenge is to attract candidates through new channels and adapt our services to customer needs.
