Conducted research as an undergraduate student in the field of composites and self-healing materials. The project included the construction and mechanical characterization of modified composites plates with self-healing functionalities, as well as, execution of low velocity impact, compression tests before and after impact according to the Airbus Industries standard.

During this 8-week internship I worked as a member of the Mechanical Equipment Maintenance and Desisgn Department assisting experienced engineers.The post included the following tasks:• Performed installation and on site repair of the Seatrac structure (A structure which can be used by persons with kinetics disabilities in order to facilitate their access to the sea).• Created a plan on improving company’s warehouse organization. Suggested alterations to the assembly, repair and storage space to minimise the time needed for the aforesaid tasks.• Utilized CAD software to create alternative designs for Seatrac in order to increase its mechanical properties and delivered suggestions on how to improve specific physical properties.
