Worked as principal engineer/consultant for Albertson’s personalization at scale program. Designed the framework for decision engine which will decide the optimal recommendation model for the user based on their past purchases and browsing patterns.

Enterprise order management - Lead a team of 70+ engineers to build state of the art enterprise solution for order management with an order repository that can scale for peta bytes of data and capable of ~5000 TPS using Postgres, Cassandra, Redis, Elastic search and event driven architectural patterns. The platform could handle the sustained Target digital order volumes during pandemic HAWK Operational platform - Lead and architected a custom solution for improving observability and identifying issues near real time using Presto, sharded Postgres, Kafka, Influx and Grafana. This helped target in identifying issues when a problematic pattern develops and helped save millions of dollars by minimizing guest impactEnterprise Payment settlement - Modernized the Target payment settlement platform replacing mainframe systems with microservices using saga pattern and technologies including spark, kafka streams, postgres.Order allocation engine (Supply chain : Last mile) – Lead a team to implement a proprietary order allocation algorithm which could reduce shipping cost while meeting guest delivery timelines. The solution also could help with optimal inventory placing and saved Target more than 100M dollars in terms of ship expense and order cancellations due to lack of inventory

Developed a customer notification system for HomeDepot.com ordering system using WebSphere commerce messaging framework. Developed a new payment system for HomeDepot.com that allowed more ease in the online payment authorization for customers. Created a barcode generator application using open source libraries for Home Depot store employees to scan barcode to get online order details. Implemented online inventory check using Java Webservices for buy online pick-up in store.

Provided eCommerce solutions using IBM WebSphere commerce. Headed the team that developed a new online checkout process in Mygofer.com(Sears.com subsidiary) that enabled customers to complete the process with minimum inputs and had an impact in increasing organizational delivery. Played a key part in monitoring and improving performance of Mygofer.com website by using applications such as dynatrace, soasta etc. Enabled user integration or online sign in with social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
