Worked as Research Engineer in National Facility for Atom Probe Tomography (NFAPT) under Prof. B.S. Murty. The facility is under Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, IIT Madras. Experience in operating the LEAP 5000XR - APT and post analysis of the data obtained.Specialized in sample preparation for atom probe tomography and TEM lamellae using Focused Ion Beam technique.Part of India's first atom probe tomography facility, since the installation of LEAP 5000 XR and FEI Helios G4 UX Focused Ion Beam. Part of setting up NFAPT lab facility which includes the installation of LEAP 5000 XR and FEI Helios G4 UX Focused Ion Beam. Received hands-on training from CAMECA Instruments Inc. on APT operation and data analysis. Trained by FEI on equipment handling and sample preparation using FIB. Conducted conferences and workshops on Atom Probe Tomography. Trained users from partner institutes and students on Atom Probe Tomography and Focused Ion Beam technique.

Studied operations undertaken by the LD3 department of TATA steel.* Conducted project on “ STABILISE THE OLP OUT ALUMINIUM PERCENTAGE AT LD3 FOR AL-KILLED STEEL “Study and investigate methods to stabilize the OLP out aluminium percentage within the recommended limits. At the end of the internship we could suggest different solutions to the problem which include usage of better CELOX, change the time at which readings are taken, optimization of purging time, and ensure the ample availability of ladles for enough processing time at different stations.
