My role in the company is to live by design, exceed customer expectations and to inspire a happy team.My tasks are to come up with fresh seat designs as well as to continually innovate and improve existing products through ingenuity and good practices.This means taking care of my 'baby' from conception all the way to mass production and beyond.Obstacles to be overcome are physics, costs, time and space, supply chain hurdles, supplier capabilities and a major pandemic. In 2020, I was tasked with leading the company sustainability initiative, with the end goal of BIFMA e3 Certification and a sustainable future.I am also the secretary of the Safety and Health Committee. Previously, I was employed by our sister company in the UK, where I had the additional responsibility of assisting the sales team in coming up with proposals. This mainly involved the creation of interior layouts, renderings and also customized engineering concepts. I also occasionally assist the projects team when turnkey solutions are needed. Skills employed are 3D CAD, FEA, FMEA and 3D rendering as well as plenty of hands-on with wood, metal, foam, plastic and fabric. Also lots and lots of reading of standards and legislation.Software used include Solidworks, AutoCAD and Revit.

I design fired heaters and waste heat recovery units for use in oil and gas refineries. Quit due to the ethics surrounding what we do, namely making structures that spew out hundreds of tons of CO² per day.Skills employed: Solidworks, FEA, computational fluid dynamics, piping and TEKLA.
