Seasoned commercial leader with over 25 years of international retail management experience, in a range of roles starting in Fresh over FMCG to Fresh Commercial Director for Tesco in China/Thailand, to most recently Commercial and Supply-Chain Director for the launch of Carrefour/CFAO in Cameroon.During my career I have consistently strived to grow and develop in new and pioneering roles and cultures; this has allowed me to develop my management style to one that crosses cultural boundaries and allows me to be highly adaptable and anticipative to change. After 11 years building up my knowhow in the developed French retail market, I had the opportunity to move to China where I spent 15 years in 7 different cities, participating, first hand, in the market emergence and growth of the modern retail market. In May 2014 I accepted a new challenge and transferred with Tesco to Thailand as Fresh Commercial Director to optimize the local sourcing and merchandising for the Fresh food category. With African countries readying for mass retail, I transitioned again (from a mature market) to a pioneer role with CFAO as a senior team member to support the creation and development of a new generation of shopping centers for Central Africa. I personally oversaw the concept design, construction, products sourcing, recruitment training, and opening strategy of the first shopping center in Douala, Cameroon. My retail background now covers commercial, operations, sourcing, management, supply-chain, recruitment, training, in mature and developing markets, and under centralized/de-centralized organizations for hypermarket, supermarket, convenience, and on line business.I have a real passion to foster a culture of engagement to my people, to coach and help their development resulting in immediate bottom-line improvement.As a business and people leader, I have showcased at several occasions the ability to develop a strategic vision for practical actions and executions.
