In response to the British Euro exit (Brexit), there was a temporary surge in trading volume at the stock exchanges, which led to restrictions in the availability of trading functions. To identify the weaknesses, the client requested an analysis of all affected components and the overall architecture. As a result, a catalog of short- and medium-term implementable measures was created to improve the architecture, processes, and organization within the financial services industry. The work involved analysis and evaluation of source code, architecture, monitoring, third-party system connections, load and performance tests, processes, methods, hardware setup, and tooling, mainly using Java. 2. Development many configurable components for market data display and analysis took place, with emphasis on Java and Java EE development, JSP, JAX-RS, and JavaScript for frontend functionalities. The role involved leading a five-person development team and coordinating across different teams and stakeholders, providing guidance to junior colleagues, evaluating proposed solutions, and conducting code reviews. Additionally, the project required assessing conceptual weaknesses and devising improvements, prototyping with a new technology stack and adjusted architecture, and offering pre-sales support to clients.3. Validating cloud technologies, providing recommendations and concepts for their deployment in pilot projects, and introducing DevOps and cloud technologies in various organizations. This involved working with Scrum methodologies and tools such as Atlassian BitBucket, GIT, Java, and Jenkins.
