About Manuel Keglevic

Im am a postdoctoral research at the Computer Vision Lab at TU Wien with focus on machine learning approaches. I finished my thesis in Fall of 2022 with the title “Learning Image Similarities from Forensic Evidence“ and graduated my doctoral studies with distinction.I received my MSc in Visual Computing 2013 at the TU Wien. To gain experience in the private sector I worked two years as a C++ developer at Austria Card where I focused on smartcard personalization in a highly secure environment. In fall 2015 I returned to the Computer Vision Lab as a research assistant and PhD student to develop computer vision methods for the automatic retrieval of forensic images (like in CSI) in cooperation with the Austrian police.In 2018 I joined the startup Quantiface as the first employee and Tech Lead. Till 2020 I managed the deep learning infrastructure, trained and evaluated our models, conducted MTurk studies, and developed iOS applications for the analysis and alteration of facial features.
