May 2003 - Aug 2007San Diego• Created daily driver schedules and equipment assignments for multiple terminals within San Diego.• Oversaw the daily yard support operations for Sony’s San Diego based factories, with up to 80 yard moves per day.• Established the efficient West Coast model for the fleet, scaled down from an inefficient nationwide model.• Provided equipment to Sony’s Tijuana factory to ensure they had enough to load all required weekly shipments.• Hired drivers who would go on to work for the fleet for 15+ years.• Hired multiple dispatchers who were then promoted to more senior positions within the Sony Organization.• Supervised a team of 6-12 office workers/dispatchers, 22-35 trucks, 30-60 drivers, and 90-250 trailers.• Reconciled the weekly payroll for office staff, hourly drivers, and per mile drivers. • Performed yearly reviews with all private fleet employees.
