About Manuel Litchman

As the President and CEO of Mustang Bio, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, I lead a team of dedicated and talented professionals who are committed to developing and commercializing cell and gene therapies for hematologic cancers, solid tumors and rare genetic diseases. With 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, I have a proven track record of building and leading successful organizations, forging strategic partnerships, and advancing innovative therapies from bench to bedside. My passion for transforming the lives of patients with unmet medical needs stems from my background as a clinical hematologist-oncologist and a clinical researcher in oncology and cell and gene therapy. Prior to my current position, I have held leadership roles in general management, business development, and clinical research at Roche, Novartis, and Arvinas, where I have contributed to the development and launch of several first-in-class products, including the first FDA-approved CAR T therapy, Kymriah. I have also established and maintained strong collaborations with top academic institutions, such as St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, City of Hope, Mayo Clinic, and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, to accelerate the discovery and development of novel cell and gene therapies. I am driven by a vision of creating a better future for patients and their families, and I am proud to be part of the Mustang Bio team.
