About Manuel Mora

The world is full of mostly predictable patterns waiting to be discovered and explored; data science provides the tools to do so. Analytics present an intriguing way of engaging with the most complex, multi-variate systems, often comprised of seemingly inconclusive data, to distill insights and provide actionable intelligence. As a consummate academic and researcher (six degrees in science and engineering), my career has always been data driven. Inevitably, niche requirements in manufacturing offered an opportunity to learn Excel VBA and SQL, which led to an M.S. in Data Analytics (database administrator, app developer, Exxelia Group). Having formalized my studies and joined the ranks of instructors for data courses at the university (Davenport), it is clear my passion for coding and analysis will drive the second half of my career. My main strength is in communication at every level from theory to prototyping, manufacturing to product support, and quality assurance to market analysis. My diverse experience facilitates data structure identification and analytical problem solving with a focus on verification and validation of mathematical models to ensure a quality analytical process throughout (discrete event simulation, app development, Productivity Apex).
