In charge of managing all new projects for Bocar’s Plastic Division. Our main goal is to implement new projects into production on time meeting our targets for quality and cost (investment and piece price). I manage a budget in excess of 20 million dollars. Projects under my management include taking concepts from customers and developing them for production as well as “build to print” and tool transfers from other manufacturers. The key for success is high discipline in the product development process. I lead the chassis team in Mexico in adapting vehicles from US platforms to the Latin American markets. This includes understanding the voice of the customer and translating it into functional objectives as well as developing and validating chassis systems and components in order to meet quality requirements. One of my main roles is to identify program risks and to lead teams in risk mitigation planning. I manage a group of 9 engineers and our group also supports the chassis team in the US with component development for several future programs.

Accountable for establishing design standards, creating DFMEAs and DVP&Rs templates for knuckles and ball joints, and devising strategies in collaboration with Purchasing for long-term plans with selected suppliers.

Managed the 2010 3500/4500/5500 Cab Chassis program through each stage of the Chrysler Development System (CDS). This encompassed coordinating functional teams within the chassis division to ensure the seamless execution of the development plan, including budget management, product design, and validation. I was also entrusted with the challenging 2008 4500/5500 Cab Chassis launch, where I successfully managed all chassis components, resolving issues promptly and coordinating effectively to ensure a successful vehicle launch. My responsibilities include:• Establishing vehicle performance targets. Managing warranty and cost targets for chassis components.• Facilitating cross-functional solutions with other component teams• Developing a pre-source package cadence between engineering and purchasing• Approving approximately $6,000 in vehicle content and tooling, totaling in excess of 25 million• Coordinating launch support for chassis components at the assembly plant

Responsible for the 2007 Durango-Aspen frame, which included executing DVP&R, managing variable and investment costs, and focusing on design for new 20” wheel loads and cost reduction. The outcome was a stronger frame with a lower piece price, reducing assembly plant hours per vehicle while utilizing only 70% of the investment budget. The program launch proceeded smoothly without any frame-related issues.

Tasked with overseeing the Dakota (ND) frame, with a focus on understanding critical aspects contributing to truck performance. My responsibilities encompassed ensuring product reliability through testing, FEA, accelerated tests, and the proving grounds.

Design frame components through the use of solids modeling. Designs were made according to the functional objectives of the particular truck. NVH (modal analysis) durablity and impact requirements were key.Components were design working with stamping, hydroform and assembly team. Also designs were validated through the use of CAE.
