Lead Senior Engineer on the following projects:1. Modernization of Substation Automation and Relay Protection system for critical high voltage substation serving all of lower Manhattan. First project to introduce IEC 61850 as primary protection architecture in a Con Edison facility. 2. Storm hardening of high density underground 13KV distribution networks by installing a synchronous switching system to simultaneously open underground network switches and substation distribution feeders in the event of severe weather and flooding conditions. Novel use of GOOSE messaging outside of a substation environment.3. Mobile HEMP (High Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse) shielded control center. First of its kind in the world mobile system capable of surviving an EMP event and taking over control of transmission and distribution operations.4. Introduction of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality technologies as new tools to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety in varied applications.

In 2004 Lunar Explorer created the world's FIRST and still the only fully immersive, interactive Virtual Reality simulation of the entire Moon. It was a breakthrough product that allowed people to orbit the Moon, land and walk around anywhere on the surface. Includes all successful landing sites (Apollo, Surveyor, and all Soviet Luna missions). It ran on regular Windows home computers. It still works and runs well on Windows 10 computers with graphics cards. Virtual Moon was created to produce a new version of Lunar Explorer with improved resolution, realism and interactivity for the new VR platforms (Oculus, Vive, etc.)
