In my role as a GIS Online Educator, I am producing video tutorials that help people to get started with tools such as ArcGIS Field Maps, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and QGIS. Prior to launching my public video production in September 2023, I immersed myself in film writing, video editing, and graphic design. My skillset as a GIS Online Educator includes:- More than 20 years of experience using GIS software: ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Field Maps, QGIS, ArcMap, ArcView, gpx files, shape files, raster data, editing, analysis, map layouts- Video production with a Canon Powershot G7X III, Rode Videomic Pro+ for camera, Shure SM7B mic for voiceover, video editing in iMovie, designing thumbnails and video graphics in Canva Pro, adding music features using Epidemic Sound and the YouTube open source audio library- YouTube social media management, video optimisation in TubeBuddy, YouTube trends and culture

As a hiking trail coordinator of the 1400 km long distance hiking trail Skåneleden (https://skaneleden.se/en), I conducted quality controls on the trail, supported by the ArcGIS Fieldmaps inventory app. After the field inventory I reported the current maintenance needs to the responsible municipalities, facilitating the achievement of the predefined regional hiking trail quality standard.

As the GIS coordinator at Stiftelsen Skånska Landskap, it was my responsibility to plan, build, and maintain spatial databases together with my colleagues. Being the only GIS professional among the fifteen employees, who were all highly specialised in fields such as forestry, nature recreation, outdoor education, and administration, it was an intriguing challenge to break down GIS to new users, enable them to participate in the development of our GIS, and to design GIS applications that were easy and efficient for everyone to use.

Master in Geographic Information Systems Management, Folkuniversitetet, Gävle, Sweden, Sep 2020 - Jun 2021I deepened my skills in GIS in a one-year's master program while at the same time working my regular hours at Stiftelsen Skånska Landskap. During the internship periods hosted within the one-year master programme in geographical information systems, I took the lead on a collaborative process to set up ArcGIS Field Maps for green infrastructure management. In a team of three, where I was the only GIS professional, I explained all the features of ArcGIS Field Maps to my two collaborators. After planning the app menus together, I took care of the technical setup. In an iterative process, we improved the menus until ArcGIS Field Maps was ready to be used in a vast field inventory of 19 recreational trails of 1-25 km length, capturing all the outdoor service infrastructure such as signposts, benches, portaloos, parkings, and other features. The programme covered the following: - Basics of GIS/GIT: Geodatabases, Maps - Raster and vector analysis: Toolbox, SQL - Web based and mobile GIS: Fieldmaps, Storymaps - Cartography and geodesics: Requirements in Sweden - Spatial databases: SQL - 3DGIS and BIM: Scenes and construction - Project management: Own project

In my research project "Tales of Uniqueness - Value Creation in Rural Tourism Development", I investigated an EU funded LEADER-project on the Swedish countryside. The LEADER-project pursued the goal to enhance the unique attractiveness of the rural area by means of creating recreational biking trails. My analysis of the becoming of the ten thematic biking trails highlights the importance of active participation of the local community to foster a sense of unique and embodied values in a touristic offer.

The regional hiking trail Skåneleden (https://skaneleden.se/en) was not yet managed towards defined quality standards and goals in 2010. As an intern I was set on the mission to conduct a benchmarking study, comparing Skåneleden with five other hiking trails/hiking regions and to conclude on a roadmap for improvements. I picked German Eifelsteig, Saar-Hunsrück Steig, British Pennine Way and West Highland Way, and Swedish Hikebike Portalen Jämtland-Tröndelag as competitors. In the internship report "Developing Skåneleden", I suggested Region Skåne, Stifelsen Skånska Landskap, and Skåneleden to take the following measures, among others:- Deciding on relevant players in Skåneleden's network and forming a reference group to shape improvements of the trail in dialogue- Working based on an inspiring vision and marketing plan and strategy, keeping several user groups and hiking styles in mind- Improving the digital presentation by creating a more modern website with interactive map functions and inspirational content

In my work at Ystad Tourist Office I helped visitors to explore the picturesque coastal town Ystad, most well-know for the Inspector Wallander crime series. Visitors would ask about the town's tourist sights, accommodations, and cultural experiences as well as nature based adventures. During off-season I was responsible for updating the hotel booking systems CityBreak, Booking.com, and also sold a great number of event tickets for theatre plays and concerts all over Sweden in the Rasken, Microflex, and Julius booking platforms. I also trained and coordinated the front desk assistants who would team up with me June to August to serve Ystad's excited visitors.

As an intern at Stadt Münster I did an quality inventory of the urban biking lanes. I created the inventory sheets myself, still printed on paper back then, and cycled all the relevant stretches to inspect the quality status of the biking lane surfaces (tarmac, gravel, dirt, intact, okay, damaged, etc.). I compiled a report that was handed over to the department of infrastructure and traffic planning at Stadt Münster.
