As a lawyer specializing in international criminal law and human rights, I've had the opportunity to work on some challenging and impactful cases in the field. I'm passionate about using the law to protect people's rights and ensure accountability for grave crimes.Throughout my career, I've represented individuals and provided legal support before national and international bodies on a wide range of issues including legal guarantees, freedom of expression, equality and non-discrimination, enslavement, sexual violence against women in conflict, sexual and reproductive rights, among others. I've engaged with justice sector stakeholders to promote people-centered approaches to justice innovation, and I've worked closely with NGOs and victims of armed conflict to provide legal support and collect information on crimes committed against them.One of my proudest accomplishments has been supporting the Colombian government in the development of policy documents on transitional justice. I've also had the privilege of working on cases related to war crimes and crimes against humanity in countries like Colombia, Syria, Libya, and Rwanda.I believe that every person deserves access to justice and protection of their rights, and I'm committed to doing my part to make that a reality.
