I develop DECIPHER, a web-based database that stores genomic array data and phenotypes from patients world-wide. Enabled by an international collaborative research consortium, DECIPHER hosts data from more than 2200 patients from over 100 centres in more than 20 countries.
Scientific Programmer
Set up a systems biology database, EnDICTION, for integration of computer-generated predictions from the ENFIN network of Excellence. Data consisted mainly of protein-protein interaction, target genes, protein function annotation and metabolic pathways in the Reactome.org database. For this I created an extension of the data model of Reactome and provided an interface for authors to visualize their data within the Reactome Skypainter tool.

Phd Bioinformatics
Developed an integrative analysis of heterogeneous protein data sources (sequence, structure and functional annotations). Provided concrete proof for establishing the structural factors contributing most to sequence conservation. Created a tool (PFFmot) to characterize protein sequence motifs based on their structural content. This tool is able to predict functional sites based on the interplay of sequence conservation and destabilizing energies. Method used for enhancement of the PRINTS database's algorithm to find remote homologue proteins for protein family classification.
