The Transformation Programme is the largest single investment since the airport’s inception.A new 39,000m² stand-alone arrivals terminal forms the centre-piece of the scheme, uniquely relocating all arrivals functions into a purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility; the first of its kind in the UK.Via a complex sequence of reconfiguration and modernisation, the existing building becomes a facility totally dedicated to the departures process. The reconfiguration includes expansion of the existing check-in, security and retail areas.
