About Manuel Fernández Del Campo García

I'm a Mexican designer and Creative Director specializing in crafting narratives through visuals, using cultural references to forge connections with people. With extensive experience in graphic projects, I've had the privilege to collaborate with clients from all continents, enriching my creative perspective along the way. My interests span from branding and typography to streetwear fashion, photography, music, and education. I'm passionate about exploring how these diverse areas intersect to create meaningful visual and narrative experiences.Currently, I'm leading Brada, my design studio, but also have side projects: Loca People, a clothing brand, and VSL JRNL, a curated design gallery. Additionally, I serve as a professor at Mondragón México, where I share my knowledge and experience with the next generation of designers. My interest in fashion, specifically in footwear and apparel, including streetwear and sportswear, has increased in recent years, so today I want to continue exploring these areas.

  • Loca People
    Founder
Loca People Nov 2022 - Present
This project was born by accident, stemming from a passion for printing my own designs on t-shirts and sweatshirts. In late 2022, I made a small on-demand launch, and due to the positive response, I decided to establish the project as a formal brand.Since then, I have been working on clothing collections, experimenting with materials and garment fits, and exchanging ideas with manufacturers. Each collection has been accompanied by videos or photographs that reflect its respective concepts and themes.Far from seeking economic results, my goal with Loca People is to have a space for experimentation in fashion, being able to play with concepts, styles, and campaigns around clothing.
  • Universidad Mondragon-Uco
    Professor
    Universidad Mondragon-Uco Jan 2017 - Present

However, as soon as conditions began to return to normal, we decided to close it.

  • Neue
    Founder / Creative Director
    Neue Mar 2017 - Jul 2019
In 2016, I started printing t-shirts with minimalist designs for my own use. I designed them, bought the blank t-shirts, and printed them.As I noticed that people often asked about the brand when they saw me wearing the t-shirts, in 2017, I launched Neue, an e-commerce where I started to sell these t-shirts in a more organized way, creating periodic collections and adding other products such as caps, sweatshirts, and hoodies. The project lasted only a couple of years, as gradually I became interested in experimenting with other styles that no longer fit within that project.
  • Grupo Códice
    Design Director
    Grupo Códice Jul 2015 - Aug 2016

My role involved participating in internal meetings and with clients to understand the problems and needs, communicating them to the design team, proposing solutions, and presenting them for implementation. It was a period during which I rarely engaged in direct design work; instead, I directed the design team. This was ideal as I was simultaneously studying an MBA, enabling me to apply what I learned in the master's program.
  • Cancerbero Studio
    Partner
    Cancerbero Studio May 2014 - Mar 2015
