I have worked almost all my professional life at Vinoselección Club de Vinos, the oldest and largest wine club in Spain. This has allowed me to grow in two areas: distance selling and wine, and in both I have focused on sales and marketing. Distance selling has been an opportunity to get into a wide range of marketing areas like direct marketing, e-commerce, on-line marketing, telemarketing and database management, alongside with logistics and all the back office of a distance seller. After all this time I can say I am in this field to stay. On the other hand, I have had the opportunity to market wine in some of the main World Wine Markets: Spain, The UK, Germany, France and the Netherlands. I have also witnessed the formidable rise of the Spanish wines in the last 30 years. Very few products are as appealing as wine, and provide a marketer with such added value. To be honest, I know more about selling than tasting, but you need to be sober to make it happen. There is a lot of work involved in every single project, but I still feel very motivated because the best is still to come.Salud.
