As Professor of Manufacturing Processes in Design and Product Development at Stuttgart Media University, I combine academic expertise with industry experience to bridge the gap between creative design and practical manufacturing. My background includes both entrepreneurial activities and work as a Senior Packaging Product Design Engineer at Apple.At Apple, I led a 20-person international team in redesigning packaging for a large number of products to eliminate all plastic use, contributing significantly to the company's goal of plastic-free packaging by 2025. This experience informs my teaching, where I focus on integrating product design with material selection, manufacturing processes, and production strategies for consumer and industrial goods.My work encompasses sustainable design solutions, advanced manufacturing techniques, and the application of technology in design workflows. I prepare students to meet modern product development challenges by integrating technical skills with creative problem-solving.
