I support the global Social Investment team in the implementation of some of Shell's social investment flagship programs in different regions.

I helped the upstream business in Mexico gain and maintain our social license to operate by mananing social risks, designing stakeholder engagement strategies and implementing relevant value adding social investment opportunities. I was also in charge of designing and implementing Shell Mexico's social investment strategy at the country level.

I helped drive the association's Social Performance agenda by looking for synergies between members that would potentiate regional social benefits as a result of the energy sector presence.

Through a web-based educational platform, I lectured for the "design and sustainability" course at the undergraduate degrees for industrial and industrial design. I was responsible for managing the social impact and sustainability team at ERM Mexico, which included executing social impact assessment projects for various sectors including oil & gas, power, infrastructure, and agribusiness. I also had commercial responsibilities to ensure that social related work sales met yearly budgets. I also performed as Senior Reviewer and Technical Director for social performance related deliverables.

I was in charge of managing several projects through their whole lifecycle so that they meet the clients' needs while being the most resource efficient and high quality standards. As a project manager, I got involved with all the stages of each project and their deliverables.

I was charge of helping the Sustainability and Social Consulting Practice Lead coordinate sustainability projects. As a project coordinator, I was mostly in charge of ensuring that clients received their deliverables under the stringent quality standards they need. I also performed as fieldwork coordinator and gained experience in understanding the implications of international best practices across several sectors including food & beverage, oil & gas, power, waste management, and chemical.

I lectured for the "Corporate Social Responsibility" course at the undergraduate degree of sustainable development. This endeavour allowed me to share experiences and thoughts with students with whom I share a passion for sustainable development. During the course, I promoted critical thinking to identify where in the companies' business strategies there is room for improvement in terms of true social responsibility.

I helped manage a complex network of companies of different sizes and sectors to promote the exchange of material resources so that the waste of some companies served as raw materials for others. As a result of such closed loop resources exchange, I was also in charge of registering the social, environmental and social benefits of the synergies created. During the internship, which I did whilst undertaking the master's programme, I assisted the Freshwater and Sustainable Consumption Coordinator, Mr. Ashok Chapagain (a renowned leader in water management) to design a preliminary framework model that would make an easier identification of carbon and water footprint trade-offs within food supply chains of certain products.

I performed as a business consultant for companies in the construction and food & beverage sectors. I was in charge of identifying business operations that could be improved through the implementation of information technologies and/or more efficient business processes.
