I am in charge of the consolidated development and finance plan KEF, budgeting, reporting and creating the annual financial report (income statement, 1.4 billions), our software to examine the bills of hospitals and the internal control system (ICS). In addition, I am responsible to keep the daily business running by leading a team of a business analyst, three persons in charge of the bills of hospitals and a temporary student assistant. Moreover, I do specific data analysis using SQL to support my supervisors with information about the hospitals and their bills.

Within this function, I was supporting the division management to budgeting, reporting and creating the annual financial report (income statement, 1.4 billions). My role was to analyse and report our data using SQL. I was the key-user of the single-billing software (Löwenfels Partner AG). It includes being part of an intercantonal development group to develop the software with regard of legal changes and new rules regarding SwissDRG (ex. TARPSY, ST-Reha) and to develop the contracts for business relationships between the cantons and the software provider. Within this group, I took on a leading role regarding the development of the software as well as the development of the contracts. I tested and approved new releases of the software as well as the XML documents of connected hospitals. Therefor, I was the main contact for hospitals and their software providers. In addition, I was responsible to review and possibly redesign the business processes and the internal control systems.Within our team, my role was to supervise and train the employees to examine the bills of the hospitals using the software. Furthermore to establish their knowledge regarding legal (KVG/IVG) and the rules of SwissDRG. In addition, I provided tools to facilitate the examination of the bills (SQL scripts and EXCEL documents).As deputy Head of Division, I was also in charge of reacting on new and complex questions regarding legal aspects and regarding the rules of SwissDRG. Therefor, I was in exchange with leading employees of hospitals and other divisions of our department to find appropriate solutions.

I was responsible for financing of hospitals of ZH, software engineering of controlling tools (SPSS), database of residence, processes on residence examination and other legal clarifications, interface financing and legal. Furthermore, i was a member of the project team as business analyst to replace the SPSS Software for a standard software of electronic single-billing system (from Löwenfels Partner AG) which was adapted to our needs.Within this project, I was responsible for the migration of legacy data, writing of technical specification, designing of examination algorithms applying the rules of SwissDRG, testing, software evaluation, elaborating of evaluation catalogue, reviewing the implemented algorithms and the approval of product. I gathered a profound knowledge of the new software (from Löwenfels Partner AG), the XML Standard for single-billing in Switzerland and the rules of SwissDRG.In addition, I was also responsible to write the specifications for hospitals to connect to the interface in regard of billing, to test the appliance and to approve their XML documents.

The Department of Health was obligated to set up a residence database to examine the residence of patient in cooperation with an other Department. My tasks include:- Designing, Testing and acceptance of algorithms- Implementing the interface into controlling tool (SPSS) including software engineering (SPSS) and adapting the stored procedure- Maintenance of database of residence- Designing of processes on residence examination and other legal clarifications

Internship: “Passive motor learning“ - Conception, execution and analysis of an intern subject study about passive motor learning using 3D motion tracking and Matlab.- Additionally: Writing a Matlab tutorial for students.
