Working at HPFT has been a fantastic education; gaining a PgDip in cognitive-behavioural therapy, being trained in the treatment of people with long-term health conditions using CBT, and the experience of working with a broad cross-section of people with a wide array of problems; PTSD, OCD, Health Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Low Self-Esteem, Depression, Phobias, Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Perfectionism, and Psycho-sexual problems, amongst others.Working here has really developed my special interest in the crossover between physical and mental health. I work with people who suffer from chronic pain, chronic fatigue, IBS, Fibromyalgia, Heart Disease, COPD, Cancer and other long-term health problems. It's fascinating and rewarding to see how psychological interventions can improve the lives of people suffering with long-term health conditions.Integrating CBT into my approach to psychotherapy has expanded my therapeutic toolbox and treatment range, for which I am really grateful!
I am an integrative relational psychotherapist and counsellor. My way of working with clients is based on a fundamental respect for the person and his or her human potential. Rather than adhering to a single therapy approach, I draw on a range of theories and techniques, keeping in mind what will be most helpful to the unique individual with whom I am working. With new clients I begin with a thorough clinical assessment, which facilitates the development of a tailored treatment approach. This collaborative approach meets clients' specific needs, addresses key clinical issues, and promotes the effectiveness of the therapy.

Long-term psychodynamic psychotherapy for people with psychosis, enduring mental health difficulties, and complex social needs. At Jobs in Mind I have had the privilege not only of working long-term with clients who suffer with psychosis, but also of working with Paula Conway and Andreas Ginkell, who founded this organisation and pioneered their own treatment model for working with psychosis and schizophrenia. Their supervision has been genuinely educational, providing me with a resource that has been enormously beneficial in my wider clinical work.I have attached a link to the excellent article by Paula & Andreas, which explains their clinical approach.

A 7-week brief psychotherapy service with excellent links to additional support services for NHS employees through the Kingston Hospital Occupational Health & Wellbeing Service. I really enjoyed the experience of working with a multidisciplinary team and found that I learned a lot from seeing how the different professional perspectives integrate to provide a comprehensive health & psychological wellbeing service.Working here has been an excellent training in using a brief psychotherapy model, with a high turnover of clients facing a range of mental health issues including work-related stress and conflict. I gained a real insight into the work-related and organisational issues faced by people working in large organisations.
