After introducing a management strategy, I executed a 180-degree performance turnaround at global manufacturing sites—unachievable by 6 of my predecessors, and championed operational excellence to boost plant efficiency from 67% to 85%; trim manufacturing scrap from 12% to 3% in 6 months; improve output speed 50% with zero labor increase; and enhance product quality while simultaneously realizing a 35% drop in utility requirements during production.I held the esteemed position of President, overseeing the operations of five strategically located facilities across the globe. My exceptional track record of transforming the New Jersey facility into a highly profitable venture led the Nitta Board of Directors to entrust me with the leadership of not only the New Jersey location but also the distinguished responsibility of overseeing facilities in Canada, two in China, and one in Japan.     Aggressively recruited by the board of directors (BoD), I supported the incumbent president/CEO while he was undergoing medical treatment and assumed the reins following his departure. With a firm belief that “companies fail because management failed,” I assumed full P&L ownership and orchestrated a strategy to pay off $9M in company debt, revitalize operations, and navigate a clear path forward.No easy feat, but I returned the company to profitability and 100% growth within 2 years after establishing an executive leadership team and hiring top performers for key positions (sales & marketing, operations, CFO, and HR). Joining forces with my new VP of sales, we opened new territories in China, Russia, Singapore, and parts of Europe while developing new product lines that increased profitability and market competitiveness.Having developed a situational leadership style, I learned early on that if you want the best from people, you have to manage them in such a way that they’ll be successful. Don’t expect everyone to change to fit your style; that’s a lazy way of managing people.This set the foundation for the biggest sale in company history to date, $4M for a single system. Not only did we grow Denton Vacuum from $9M to $19M in annual sales within 5 years, we also prevailed during the Great Recession to actualize the highest profits in company history. On the operational, inventory, and technical sides, I slashed annual warranty costs from $800K to $50K by redesigning a majority of the company systems; realized up to 35% cost reduction for non-critical components after forming a supply chain in China; thinned inventory from $5M to $600K; and introduced a process engineering group that equipped customers with a proprietary process for market differentiation and growth.

    Based on my previous results at Corning, I was recruited by my former boss—now the division president and VP at Tetra Pak—to course-correct a derailed 20M Euro project with a 5-year history of R&D failures.Known for getting things done when I say they will, I completed the proof of concept (PoC) in 6 months for an invisible glass coating that could be layered on the inside of plastic bottles and developed a process to test each bottle, ensuring 100% quality during production. This technology increased beverage shelf life—orange juice shelf life increased from 2 weeks to 18 months and beer from 5 days to 12 months.Consequently, I was offered a 5-year permanent contract to scale my invention into wider commercial success and took charge of the entire barrier division. Holding full P&L accountability and master-planning our launch strategy, I:Recruited sales reps from within the Tetrak Pak family of companies to infiltrate beer, fruit juice, and carbonated water industries and develop pivotal markets. Ultimately, my team and I propelled sales from $0 to $10M within the first year and doubled sales outcomes to $20M during our second year of operation.Partnered with Bitburger (Germany’s largest beer company) on a joint marketing partnership to fast-track product launch for our Tetra Pak barrier-coated bottles, which were placed into all German convenience stores to penetrate our targeted 18 - 35 year-old demographic.
