Selected Achievements:• Increased profitability of the elastomeric product line through teamwork, accountability, lean manufacturing techniques, kaizan, and cost control. • Reduced safety related incidents by 52% and incurred no lost time injuries for 4+ years. • Recipient of the North Carolina Department of Labor Gold Award for safety improvement in 2009. • Reduced customer complaints by 24%.• Provided operations support for a start-up manufacturing plant in China.

As Director of Operations, I held full P&L responsibility for $108 million in annual revenue for three high performing non-union manufacturing plants with 580 total employees supplying automotive fluid handling products.Selected Achievements:• Drove international strategic manufacturing footprint planning, which added operating profit of $2 million in 2005 and projected $5 million in 2006. Included union and non-union plants as well as the entire supply chain, in alignment with the ITT Goal Deployment Process.• Led the North American prototype and aftermarket service manufacturing technology center. Included fabrication of steel and plastic products using CNC equipment in a low volume high mix operation.• Implemented 5S practices that allowed lean six sigma events to flourish, resulting in a 17% decrease in quality ppm defective rating, a 50% decrease in premium freight, and a $500K reduction in operational expenses annually.• Managed multi-site production facilities including, estimating, process engineering, prototype and service.• Oversaw flawless start-up of a green field manufacturing site.• Recipient of the ITT Best Practice Award for developing a system to achieve outstanding customer service in the area of product quality improvement.• Eliminated waste in this $50 million annual revenue just-in-time delivery plant with over 200 employees in a turn-around situation. • Recipient of the ITT Gold Ring of Quality Award for continuous process improvement that created and sustained a favorable bottom line.• Awarded ITT Industries highest Environmental, Health and Safety rating. Only one of four plants to ever achieve this honor.• Led a business initiative to improve the company-wide quality rating by 46% with Honda.• Awarded 2 United States patents for a quick connect coupling design for development of a new compounded resin to prevent electrostatic discharge created within the fuel system.
