Built a user tuple connected distance oracle for 800Million+ users. Data is stored in a 2 distributed memory cache clusters that are updated daily with new information. This service can provide a real time metric on how socially connected two users really are.Worked on identifying abuse in a large graph based user system. My work aids in identifying accounts that are hijacked/compromised and bots interacting amongst a billion+ users based on their activity patterns and social connectedness. Work involved building distributed graph processing algorithms munging TB's of data.Built Microsoft's new Human Interactive Proof (HIP) Service's content delivery system which is capable of ferrying data across query-able content channels from BE content creators to FE servers where they can be consumed using diverse user signals like the user's location etc.I've been working on building several data mining algorithms which help to identify proxy IP’s, abusive bot accounts and compromised users. I have been responsible for building a distributed task execution framework with effective monitoring and fail over, which is being used within the team. I was the software design engineer responsible for building and running Microsoft’s SOAP based Url Reputation Service (URS) which feeds clients like Internet Explorer 7, Internet Explorer 8, and others. My work in building the Smart Screen filter in IE clients which communicated with the URS service helped millions of Internet Explorer users by protecting them from malicious data and websites on the internet. I additionally worked as the contact person in my team with MSN operations and Test to ensure that our services were alive and running 24/7. I worked in C++, C# and sql dealing with analysis of data, writing high performance web services and developing windows services. This service is arguably the biggest web service in Microsoft today and gets over a Billion requests a day from several Million IE clients.

I built solutions for Aventis Pharmaceuticals, using Perl to automate content retrieval and restructuring of multi-language Websites converting them into relevant XML files that were capable of being incorporated into Documentum via a J2EE customization of Documentum’s WebPublisher interface done by us for Aventis. I also worked to build a Python based intra organization, intra-project web-portal called ConnectedMinds using Zope & Plone as a collaboration and content management capable of hosting interest groups called MindTree Communities.
