You miss 100% of the shots you don´t take - Wayne GretzkyI´ve been working as a welder some years ago, but after a few years, I felt like I needed more so I decided to aim for the title of International Welding Engineer (IWE). After a few years of great sacrifice and perseverance, I got what I wanted. I don´t give up easily and I am a hard worker. Though I might not have the experience as an Engineer as most of the people of my age, they don´t have the experience I do as a Welder.As a welder, I was qualified in 6G with SMAW and GTAW and 3G with GMAW. I have welded small to medium size pressure vessels as the tubes, flanges, nozzles etc... related to the circuits. I have welded materials from stainless steels (316L, 304...) to more common steels (SA516, S355, 2.25Cr - 1Mo...).At the moment, I´m working in the Technological Institute of Materials of Asturias (ITMA) where we develop new welding procedures, supervision of repairs by welding, additive manufacturing by arc, welding procedures and implementation of new technologies considered in the Industry 4.0.
