I am a medical student at Texas A&M University School of Medicine. Growing up, I spoke the languages of English and Telugu (an Indian language). Much of my family was involved in the Computer Science and Information Technology fields, which inspired me to take part in this field as well, while also carving my own path. After several experiences in the healthcare field, I realized I wanted to be a doctor and help people with the fusion of technology, medicine, and science. At the University of Texas at Dallas, I took part in several research opportunities. I researched during Fall 2019 in the Morcos Lab, which focused on computational biology methods for protein analysis. During Spring 2020, I was a researcher at the Texas Biomedical Devices Center, which explores applications of technology on neurological disorders. I researched at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Summer 2020 as part of the CPRIT-CURE program. My research interests include neurobiology, pathobiology, and cancer genomics. I also seek to help those in need by volunteering. I have volunteered with several organizations in the past including UT Dallas CometTutors, Reading Partners North Texas, METRO Chicago Community Center, and the Agape Clinic. My hobbies include singing, songwriting, and creating digital image art. I've led and took part in musical organizations at UT Dallas. In the future, I look forward to impacting the technology and biology fields through research and development while also making a difference in people's lives as a doctor.
