• Led a team of software and test engineers to design, implement, test and deliver custom enhancements and features to the Lotus Connections and Lotus Quickr products. These features were primarily implemented as servlets and portlets built with Java and Javascript to satisfy a specific customer use case. Many of these enhancements were later incorporated into the product and released as new features, resulting in a more comprehensive offering.• Established a team and developed processes to support the new Lotus Connections Files and Wikis products. Created tooling with ANT to automate the process of building and deploying product fixes. These tools and methodologies, which are now in use across the organization, have reduced the time and complexity required for customers to update their products with the latest fixes.• Gained hands on experience with a variety of infrastructure products (edge caching, proxies, authentication mechanisms, LDAP, etc.) by working directly with customers, both remotely and on-site, to troubleshoot and resolve issues in production deployments.• Work with both customers and the development team to identify and resolve issues with scalability and performance in the application stack and database.

• Part of a small team which developed the Lotus Connections Files product. Built as a performance oriented rich internet application, the user interface was developed in javascript, using the Dojo toolkit which communicated to the Java-based REST service layer via ajax requests. This application was shipped in 2009 as part of Lotus Connections 2.5.• Personally implemented large portions of the Lotus Connections Files UI using the Dojo toolkit. Features like recommendations, sharing and comments bolstered the social nature of the product.• Implemented API features and unit tests for Lotus Quickr and Lotus Connections using REST, RSS, ATOM and JSON standards.

• Designed and Developed a Java based tool which quickly populates a product with data required for load testing.• Implemented new functionality for Portal Document Manager, including, content categorization in a J2EE development environment.• Identified and resolved various bugs within Portal Document Manager.

• Established a high availability distributed computing environment using Sun Grid Engine.• Documented and compiled site-specific documentation for use and maintenance of the cluster.

• Implemented a campus wide student group calendaring system in PHP and deployed it across university maintained web portals.

• Independent on-site troubleshooting and repair of University and student computers

• Worked with the Business Management group to implement and customize widely used software applications for cost accounting.• Coordinated the effort across business units to deploy and migrate several applications to new production databases.• Developed and presented new Business Management website design to the Controller and Chief Financial Officer.
