I am currently in Dr. Jerzy Szablowski's laboratory. The lab implements noninvasive neuroengineering approaches to better control & monitor the brain while investigating more effective treatments for brain diseases & disorders. My work is focused on developing noninvasive methods to perform gene delivery to the brain using focused ultrasound and engineered viral vectors.

I worked in Dr. Shelly Sakiyama-Elbert's laboratory. The lab focused on implementing tissue and cellular engineering approaches to investigate therapeutic applications for spinal cord and peripheral nerve injury. My work involved:• Developing and implementing a protocol to induce & enrich mouse embryonic stem cells into V0 interneurons• Conducting immunocytochemistry, flow cytometry and qPCR for data collecting and analysis• Preparing and performing reverse transcription, PCR, bacterial transformations, DNA/RNA extraction and DNA ligations as well as preparing samples for DNA sequencing• Discussing progress updates, laboratory protocols and current research with principal investigator and graduate students
